Edniesha Curry is currently coaching NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball at The University of Maine. Curry was drafted by the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting in 2002. Curry played professional basketball for eight years. Netting seasons with WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and Los Angeles Sparks, Middle East and in Europe, a haven for women’s basketball. During that time, she also worked as coach with Team Concept AAU Basketball Organization (Portland) helping develop female and male athletes. Just recently in summer of 2019, Curry was selected as a coach for the San Antonio Spurs summer league staff. Curry also serves as a technology instructor for the NBA’s Assistant Coaches Program which helps educate and transition former WNBA and NBA players in becoming coaches after their own careers.
Over her decade-long coaching career, Curry has consistently delivered leadership, training, and mentoring to student athletes as well as former professional NBA and WNBA athletes. This experience comes from Curry’s work with FIBA, NCAA and NBA programs. Curry’s expertise on collaborating business and basketball has afforded opportunities to interface with key marketing and leadership staff within these organizations. Curry is a dedicated advocate for the physical, mental, and social development of sport organizations, people and athletes all over the world.
