Edniesha Curry is one of only two women coaching NCAA DI Men’s Basketball as she continues her coaching run with The University of Maine. Curry was drafted in 2002 by the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting where she played professional basketball for 8 years.
In addition to coaching at the DI level, she has helped develop male and female athletes through Team Concept AAU Basketball Organization and coached with the San Antonio Spurs summer league staff. She also serves as technology instructor for the NBA’s Assistant Coaches Program which helps educate and transition former WNBA and NBA players into becoming coaches after retiring from their playing years.
Edniesha has leveraged her WNBA playing experience and her role as a mentor to student-athletes and professional athletes to be an advocate for the physical, mental and social development of sports organizations, people and athletes all over the world.
